Why MaraX is interesting
Lelit pairs the L58E group with a dual probe heat exchanger system, three temperature choices, two operating modes, and a steam boost function. That combination is aimed at making the traditional heat exchanger format easier to live with at home.
The workflow
MaraX has a 1.8 liter boiler with a stainless steel heat exchanger and a 2.5 liter water tank according to Lelit documentation. The controls let you choose among warm, hot, and extra hot temperature settings, then select a coffee focused or steam focused mode.
If you make several milk drinks, the heat exchanger layout is one reason to consider MaraX over a single boiler machine. If you want independent brew and steam boilers, compare it with Elizabeth instead.
MaraX or Bianca?
The two share the visual appeal of Lelit's L58E group, but they occupy different levels of control. Bianca adds dual boilers and manual flow control. MaraX keeps the concept simpler and costs less at current US list pricing.
